On my new Windows 10 Acer laptop, if I put a DVD in the drive it doesn't play automatically. I can hear it spinning, then it just stops, no notifications appear. How can I get it to autoplay.
A valid post from Fender62 but have you actually got a program for playing DVDs on your laptop anyway? Unlike some earlier versions of Windows, Windows 10 doesn't come with one. You need to install a suitable player, with VLC being the obvious choice: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.en-GB.html

Thanks Fender, I've already tried that, it's a movie I'm trying to play.
File Explorer knows it's there, just can't seem to get it to play. I'll keep trying. I am a bit of a tech muppet.
