Lack Of Subtitles

I enjoy Chicago PD and have just started to watch Six, but they don't have subtitles as far as I can see. I have Freeview which is received through a Humax box. I get subtitles on Chicago Justice and all the other American shows I watch. Does anyone know why there two programmes don't have them?
