About 20 yrs back I did my family tree and purchased the B//M/D/ certificates of my ancesestors and saved them on my computer. I want to send a particular copy to my sister in Oz but when I tried to open it I was unable to. How can I do manage to open it, I have faint memory of buying a DVJu not sure if thi in in the process. Can any one help me .
If they are saved in DjVu format then you can use this ebsite to convert them to .pdf so you should be able to open them: http://djvu2pdf.com/ There are also lots of DjVu viewers available if you Google.
If they are not saved in DjVu format then what are they?
From what I can make out it is a DVJu file. so will have a go at downloading tomorrow, what riles me is I know I bought a CD from the firm all those years ago but can't locate it. Many thanks for the replies will post a reply back to say if it worked.
If you created/saved them then if you still have the same software you should be able to open them as you could originally. Unless it's become corrupt. (Or you've slung the software.) Hope it's backed up. Or you find the original CD. I don't recall coming across the format before, but Wikipedia has a piece about which versions are still supported and which not.
Ihave had probably 2 new computers since then. All my previous ones have been Packard Bell but this one is a Asus and I 've never really got to grips with it like the PB's.
