How Can I View Kodi On My Tv Using An Hdmi Cable From My Tablet

Hi, I'm at my wit's end! All I want to do is to hook up my android tablet to my TV using an HDMI cable to watch the programmes I love but I just can't seem to make it work. I've watched countless YouTube tutorials, read articles from tech savvy people but I still don't manage to connect. Can anyone please give me a simple explanation of what I should be doing? Cheers

I'm assuming you have the correct lead (and adaptors??) to connect your tablet to your TV??
Make a note of which HDMI port you plug the lead into your TV and when you've connected, power up the tablet and then use your TV remote to select the same HDMI input that you used.
Everything on your tablet should now show up on your TV screen.

When you have used the input button on your remote to select the correct HDMI chanel, click to open Kodi. Once Android opens go to settings and then Network to select your wifi router.
Then open Kodi.
I assume you already have addons (kodi apps) on there.

Thanks for the above answers...tried again but although the connection is correct the tablet & TV are still not talking to each other. Back to the drawing board

Are you sure that you've got the HDMI input set as the source on your TV?

Don't know whether this helps, but I was surprised to discover that HDMI only travels in ONE direction, so make sure your plans take into account HDMI direction of travel.
