Registering O2 Sim Card

May sound silly question but how do I register an O2 SIM card which is fitted in my mobile WiFi unit. O2 request the phone number and send me a text number in order to register it. I am unable to read text messages until the sim card is topped up therefore any help from you guys please.

I'm surprised you can't see a received message. How do you know one's arrived ?

Maybe put it in a more convenient handset to register it ?

you dont need to register a sim if you top up by voucher anyway

Great idea Old Geezer, one I had thought of,but would it not mean I would have to return the SIM card to the phone to check amount of data left to use?

I'd not know, but worth trying it to see. Would all depend on whether the WiFi unit had the capability I suppose.
