Although have heard of the above - just in from neighbours - WOW - couldnt believe it. We talked into it for a few minutes. Great.
I'd love to buy my sista one but I know it needs WIKI which she hasn't - is there ANYTHING she could get to get AlEXA in without too much trouble. thanks
youneed to subscribe to a provider.. I use EE they send you all the equipment you need .. as well as WIFI you will need an AMAZON tablet for downloading the app and skills that you wish to use
thanks for that Mamy - nah sista would take the squealies LOL - too techie for her and knowing my luck if she would to get it in and TV or radio went on the blink - I'd get the blame so I'll leave well alone. x
I have ALEXA and I use her/it every day for news , weather, jokes, help with crossies/spellings/ recipes, music ..quizzes etc etc and sometimes road reports, bus/train timetables..what's on telly, theatre, cinema... I love her !
I know it looks brill - I didn't know neighbour had it until this morning. She was playing is it John Colt - I think- it was blaring. But neighbours either side of her were working. It seems a rocking system.
Can I ask Murray - can I borrow her Alexa for a minute or two and try it out in my own house - neighbour would certainly let me BUT she said Alexa has been wi-fied to her house only. Is that right. Doesn't matter really.
yes, she is right. For you to borrow it, it would need to be reset to your wifi then set back up to hers when you give it back....its fiddley rather than difficult but they can be temperamental and if it was my bit of kit, I probably wouldn't want to do it
