Darkening Led Tv

My Panasonic TX-40DX600B TV picture is now darkening down and adjusting brightness does not help. It is a first class tv and has seen a few years, but would
Not be happy losing it. Are there anysmall batteries to replace or any adjustment I can make other than the controls.

Hi, have similar set and if I'm correct there is an adjustment for background light which you can turn up or down. Have to find in settings for picture. Hope that helps.

Which magazine recommends setting the brightness to 0 and the backlight to 81 for optimum viewing.

Extremely good for the Which settings but adjustments did not help. Even when changing channels the information bar at the bottom is almost unreadable. I have not reset to manufacturers settings but will.

Have you got a backlight problem ?
Shame if it has developed a fault. Panasonic TV's are usually very good.
How old is the TV ??

you sure you have that right Panasonic TX-40DX600B TV? looking on the web at this model its all dancing and singing top led 4k ??

Derek-33, thanks for your answer ! We have two Panasonics that are the best, and yes, you are right. This one is the latest and we were getting mixed up thinking it was the oldest. Will get on to John Lewis under the five year guarantee and get it fixed.
(Other one is a TX L42E3BF dated 2012)

Update on prob. Panasonic tv.
Got in touch with John Lewis, within two days tv was checked our and required a replacement ? Temporary tv given to us and Panasonic taken and returned today with new screen. Can't say enough about John Lewis, technician who came to see problem could not have been better, also speed of looking after their customer was surprising.
