I was wondering can you help me.

I am trying to get onto a site for quite a while but all I get that when I try to log on - it leads me to Cloudflare ok, Browser ok but the name of the site has the 502 Error.

something like

Bad gateway error - 502.

I have contacted the site and they have now told me it is my problem.

Now I haven't a clue - is there anything I can do. Thanks Chris

Hi Guilbert - am not techie savvy - how do I do that. I can go into the little fence at the top right of the page and can find History and Add ons etc - is it about there somewhere
yes Conne go down to tools or more tools and clear browsing data

Err thanks Minty - I (not knowing what I am doing mind you) - I cleared cookies - it hasn't made any difference to said site.

anyway wanted to go into my outlook and this what I am getting - after clearing cookies

this site uses cookies for analytics, personalized content and ads. By continuing to browse this site, you agree to this use. there is no other way for me to say ok etc to allow me to get into my outlook./email
now you have cleared cookies etc have you tried restarting computer ?
As has been suggested, the dreaded 502 (bad gateway error can often be overcome by clearing your browser's cache).

The instructions on how to do that vary across different browsers but instructions for all of the most common browsers can be found here:
https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/how-to-clear-your-browser-cache/
You need to ensure that you've cleared the cache, not just the cookies.

However if you're seeing that message box (and there's no 'Accept' or 'OK' option present) then you probably need to do nothing more than to click OUTSIDE the box in order for it to disappear.

no MM - haven't restarted - didn't know that - but will do shortly

Buen - Firefox is my browser - when I go into the wee lines at top and go for Options - my options that I have are differently set out differently.

Also Firefox is suggesting to delete from "beginning of time" - but I don't have that suggestion - just sort of "do you want default". will I click that. I'm a bit afraid of doing something wrong here and upsetting every thing.
Question Author
ok Chris - just read your latest answer - will have a wee go
Question Author
no Chris - it doesn't disappear - just a message beside it - Read More - I did look at that thinking at the bottom of the message that I would get ok option but no

Instructions to clear the cache in the latest version of Firefox:

Click the three lines.
Click Options.
Click Privacy & Security
Under 'Cookies & Site Data', click 'Clear Data'
Click Clear. (You'll need to sign into AB again, and any other sites you're logged into, afterwards)
Question Author
Chris - I have done everything you said - cleared cache etc - have restarted computer too - I still can't get into my emails - all other sites seem to be ok
I'm lost!

Try a different browser. (While I'm no fan of Internet Explorer it will definitely be on your computer already, so it's the easiest thing to try).
Question Author
oh Gawd Chris - don't get lost on me.

Question Author
Chris - I needed to get onto my Outlook - I used Google Chrome - and it was great - also when I was there - I found the long lost email address.

So now I can sorta go to and fro with the browsers. Thanks
Question Author
And in switching the browsers - was successful in accessing the site. Thanks Chris
