Can someone recommend a Wireless CCTV System with two or three cameras, which is easy to set up with my ipad and smartphone? To be used outside the house. Thanks all.

Apart from the initial installation, it's so much easier and reliable - no need to worry about connection issues and don't forget each camera will have its own battery, which will need changing as and when.
Also, if you don't check your cameras on a regular basis (I sometimes don't check our's for over a week, as the monitor is always off), the batteries may run out and you could miss out on a vital recording if something happens :(

The question you've got to ask yourself is, do you want these cameras to act purely as a deterrent, or would you require footage to be played back at any time??
If you want them purely for a deterrent, make sure you put the dummy cameras where they can be seen and put up signs indicating the presence of CCTV.
If you do want them for playback purposes, I'd recommend getting your system hard wired.
Sorry I can't advise on the quality of the dummy cameras, we've got a 4 camera system, which is hard wired, so I haven't seen the dummy ones :(

Giz, they would be for a deterrent, but of course it would be helpful to have photos if anyone tried to break in. I Have tried my phone on wifi where the camera would be situated (hanging out the window)... and the reception is nil, as router is in back room, so it seems it would have to be hardwired. Any recommendations, something with an easy set up for a couple of oldies?
I got mine from Ebay and a got a friend to help with the installation, as I knew I wouldn't have a drill bit long enough to get through the external wall ..... plus the fact that my drill is rubbish lol ;P
I can't remember exactly what I paid, but I do know that it was less than £150 for a 4 camera system with a 1 TB hard drive.
If you do decide to buy one, make sure it comes with a hard drive, as some of them don't have a hard drive; so it might seem like a bargain, but you'll end up having to pay extra for a separate hard drive, which you'll have to fit yourself as well.

Having fitted no end of dummies at the request of the Police .. I can assure you that they are identical to the real thing, well the ones I fitted were. They caused no end of problems because the neighbours were outraged at the fact they may be 'seen or recorded'. Not a bad thing as the neighbours children were more often than not were responsible for the problems that caused them to be installed in the first place.
As a rule I think that the visual deterent only caused the perpetrators to tighten their hoods and think twice.
If they think twice .... in theory you have halved the crime ?

That Blink isn't overly informative. Suspected it needed WiFi but didn't say so until one looked at a particular package. Says it's ultra-affordable but at £100 a camera, plus £x I'm unsure that's fair comment. And I must've missed it but I didn't see where the data was stored nor the route it takes to your mobile.
