Hi folks, I wonder if someone can offer some advice, please. I have just become a member of a e.book group and the "chairman" has just sent all us members the book electronically via our Kindles or other e.readers. However, I can't seem to get this book on my Kindle device. He sent the book to the email address on my Kindle settings, and advised that I should connect my Kindle to my computer with the Kindle cable (which I did), make a few clicks and, bingo, the book would appear on my reading list. However, it didn't. I tried turning the device off and then back on again, but still nothing. When I connect my Kindle to the p.c. (desktop), I just get an image on the screen, which just can't be swiped off. I thought this would be such a simple process, but it's turning out to be nothing like it! Can anyone help, please. Cheers, Chox.
The easiest way to send documents is as a PDF (.doc)
In fact it might be the only way in many cases. So you have to open your book on your computer, save it as (or export as) a PDF, then email it to your special kindle address as an ATTACHMENT. Then it’ll appear in your docs. Not ideal.
My non kindle documents appear in my kindle section of Amazon. The dropdown is set to show books so you choose docs from the drop down. Select the one you want and choose deliver then if you have got more than one kindle enabled device choose the one you want it delivered to. On the kindle device choose docs from the all items list and the doc should be there....you might need to synch your kindle to make it appear
