Which Streaming Service?

I've being paying for Now TV for Over a year and the service has become increasingly erratic, to the extent that it is no longer useable. Numerous online help sessions have actually not helped and, finally, I was told this week that it's probably a problem with the Now box: "Most white boxes have gone faulty."

Thinking back to what we used it for when it was working, I see that the most popular programme was South Park, so I'd like to retain access to that. I already subscribe to Amazon Prime. So, my question is ... what do people advise? Should I get a Now stick, and hope that the problem actually was one of hardware? Would Amazon Fire be a better bet? Or is there another option I haven't thought about?

While I'm on the subject: if it isn't a hardware problem, what else might cause the Now system constantly to break and buffer, given that our Internet seems very stable and we have no problem streaming, to our laptops.

You could get a Roku. It looks like you can have Now TV, Netflix and Amazon Video all on the same box. I don't have one so I don't know if the box is any good. But you can then jump from one to the other streaming service, maybe using free trials and see which one you like best.
