Do movies recorded in Mpeg fine mode affect play on DVD players?
2 Answers
Can somebody please help me! My movies recorded in Mpeg fine mode (640 x 480 30fps) mean that playback via a dvd player on a TV is not possible - ie you get a very jumpy distorted sound although visually ok but slow. What can I do? If anybody has any ideas can you explain in layman's terms please as I'm not too technical!! Many thanks!!!

I've recently upgraded the model; before when I filmed it was in standard mode (I think that's about 16fps, still 640 x 480) and I can do that on this camera too and it creates no problem at all when I burn to disk and then play that disk. However, this new "fine" format means that you get TV quality video picture. I'm literally downloading the mpegs onto disk and burning using Nero (have also tried other software - makes no difference) but it will not play in my DVD player. I've looked everywhere for an answer, even phoned Sony who don't seem to have an answer. So any pointers would be great!! Many thanks Chappers!
