When you press and hold the missed video call, a delete icon ( a dustbin) should appear in the top right hand corner ... it does for me anyway. Daft question - but are you holding it down for long enough?? Don't highlight anything else at the same time - that won't work, as I just found out when I was tinkering around. Open up WhatsApp and along the top will be chats, status and calls.
Click on calls and it'll show a list of all calls made and received. The ones with a red arrow next to them are missed calls. Press and keep held down on the one you want to select to delete. A delete icon (a bin) will appear in top right hand corner. You can delete, or you can press and hold on another one, as you can delete more than 1 message at a time. The number of selected messages appears in top left hand corner. When you're ready to delete, just press the bin :)
If your phone isn't ringing when someone is calling you, it's probably due to the ringtone, as some ringtones are simply one beep.
go to the main menu and click on the 3 dots in top right hand corner. Click on settings, then notifications. Here you can change the ringtone for message notifications and call notifications - choose one that's quite loud and long ;)

Thanks Giz, I have changed the ring tone in notifications. When I go into WhatsApp I have a list of all my contacts. I pressed Calls and it says "to start calling contacts who have Whatsapp tap (telephone logo) at the bottom of your screen" Do I open up the contact I need to delete from before I go into WhatsApp Calls somehow??
Are you sure you're looking at your contact list and not the call history list, 'cos to view your contact list you've got to open the chats tab, then press the "new chat icon" (green circle in bottom right hand corner).
I've not had the message you're referring to so I've no idea about that soz.
Is your WhatsApp up to date??
Navigate your way to "settings" and press "help" and then "app info".
My WhatsApp is version 2.18.248

Actually I think I've finally sussed it ;)
I take it the missed video calls in blue, are within individual chats??
In other words, open up WhatsApp, then click on chats (this tab will probably already be active, so you probably won't need to click on it).
You'll now have a list of all your chat messages/conversations.
Click on the one you wish to open and you'll have a chat/message history with a selected contact. If you press and hold down on any part of the chat (including missed video calls, in blue), a delete icon will appear in the top right hand corner and you can deleted the selected item from the chat :)
Does that help??

Don't highlight anything else at the same time - that won't work, as I just found out when I was tinkering around. You can highlight several messages at a time and I think you can highlight several missed video calls, but you can't mix and match.
