Urgent Help With New Windows 10 Tablet Set Up (Currently Using Android)!

As I am so used to Windows 10 on my laptop for years and finding great difficulty with Android I have ordered a Dell 8 pro Windows tablet with Windows 10 installed and it also has a sim slot for 3g/4g. Before it arrives may I ask a question please? looking at the photo of the tablet it shows a number of tiles something like on an android but there is also a photo of it with a desktop similar to my Windows laptop ie with icons on it!

It says in the manual I looked at online that there is a 'windows button' at the top of the tablet with a little 'window icon' beside it. If this is pressed will it take me directly to a Windows desktop like my laptop where I have docs, favourites, GMail and other icons I have placed there? Also will I be able to have this open everytime I boot up the tablet so that it mirrors my current laptop set up?
