thanks. i am not getting a signal at all. have tried a friends radio and is same result. she only lives next door!!!! who do i contact?

Is it just a particular station that you can't receive? Not all DAB stations are available throughout the whole of the UK. Click at the top right of this page for a check for your location:
https://getdigitalradio.com/

You also need to remember that a DAB radio is useless until you've first carried out a scan for stations in your area. Have you done that?
