For pay monthly SIM only, you can get some good deals at Tescomobile.

Mamya has found the thread (or, more accurately, one of the many threads) where I've recommended Asda Mobile. As well as cheap rates, they've got outstanding customer service. (Their phones are answered almost instantly by really knowledgeable UK-based staff).

As I mentioned on the other thread, GiffGaff also has a very big following here on AB.
