I am not computer savvy at all so just want to know of a little fitbit I can wear on my arm telling me I am doing 10,000 steps a day. Nothing that has to be powered to gadget.
I had one years ago and wore it on the belt of my trousers and I think the movement/walking in my legs trigged the fitbit.

JJ... I will watch your thread with interest as Mrs sqad has purchased a Fitbit which is attached to her wrist and apparently counts her steps taken.
What I don't understand is how this is done.
For an inexpensive fitness tracker, Which? has just recommended the Huawei Band 3e..."at this price, you're getting an absolute bargain".
Price....£20 or less.
Sqad it will work like a normal pedometer maybe even a bit better as it is digital. Fitbits can also connect to phones which allows them to use the GPS tracker which can help the tech be more precise with stuff such as distance etc..
