Laptop motherboard

I have an old Acer Aspire 1310 laptop that requires a new motherboard, but I am completely lost when it comes to the internals of a PC.Does anyone know what model of Motherboard would be compatible with this laptop?

Hmmm, probably a Acer Aspire 1310 motherboard would fit but the chance of finding anything else which would fit varies from very very low to zero. A laptop is not like a Desktop PC where you can change things easily, Looks like you might need to look for a new laptop.

Yup, if it was a desktop PC then motherboard changing isn't too hard. With laptops, its usually a whole different ball game.

changing to a different motherboard probably isn't an option. You can however replace it with the same mother board. However I'm not sure what it would be. You'll want to visit your manufacture web site, and find your computer model. You should be able to get a detailed list of all parts in the computer, model and manufacture. If you can't find it, I'd suggest contacting that company. If you still can't find anything, you could try the documentation that came with the computer. Otherwise, try doing a search on the net for brand and model. Toms hardware guide might be able to help.
