Media players don't 'contain'' audio or video files. They simply sit in folders on your computer, waiting for you to access them.
Putting this post together with your previous one, I take it that you're now using VLC. To get it to play an audio or video file you need to click on 'Media' (top left) and then on 'Open file'. Navigate to th location of the file you want and then double-click on it to play it.
