Keyboards And Two Receivers
14 Answers
Hi everyone!
Here I go, asking again! Can anyone advise the best way to have one wireless computer keyboard, serving two desktop computers? I have a Dell EX 780 and a Dell GX 520, both Optiplex. which I use for different purposes. I don`t have room for two keyboards at the same time, but figured it would be neat if I had both computers running from the same keyboard. I don`t think I can get a new keyboard with two receivers ( the bit that fits into the tower) after local enquiries. The two computers are presently on a splitter so use the same monitor.

Ta Seeker...... I had gone to bed when you posted later but was thinking about it. Had another snoop around this morning and found this and it can be done with a KVM device. You will need to sort out cables and suchlike and make sure the software is sorted. This site in fairness is very easy to take in but unfortunatel y cost thing up in US$. Amazon may be your friend...

Thanks to Togo and bhg481. I`ve looked at the video download of "Input Director" and its mind boggling! But I`ll look again tomorrow and take copious notes of what the guy is saying, but I`ve a feeling I`m going to need a much larger pad! (plus numerous stops and starts).
But it does the job I wanted, so thanks to all who made it happen!

Glad for that Seeker. Been trying to get hold of my son this morning.....Guess what? He runs two systems and monitors from a gaming keyboard. He is an avid "gamer" but likes to have his gaming set up separate from his other sites. Was going to ask him what his set up actually is. He built his gaming pc this year, about a grands worth with imported graphics cards and mother board with a ss hard drive for speed. His keyboard is pretty expensive too. Good luck hope you get sorted.
