Galaxy Phone J Series - E-Mail Issue

Hi, my hotmail on my phone receives mail, but I cannot send mail - an orange line flicks through the top of the app. What is the issue?

The outgoing server settings on your mail app seem have got screwed up somehow. (It's a very common problem. It was happening with Outlook Express on Windows PCs twenty years ago and it still occurs quite often with Android email apps).

Delete your email account from the app. (Don't worry, you're only deleting the settings. You won't lose any existing mail). Then create the account once again. Everything should then be fine. (If, for some strange reason, it's not, that would suggest a problem with the email app itself. Try another one instead).
