I'm well overdue and upgrade thinking of getting the Huawei P30 pro.

Has anyone got one of these and would you recommend it? I know the camera spec is one of the best there is and this is the feature I'm particularly interested in.

I've decided to go go for the Galaxy S10 given the uncertain future with Huawei and the US-China trade wars.
No but I have the P20 Pro. The camera is very good although I think it gives overly bright colours, the phone functionality has some niggles after being used to Galaxys. All in all although I'm fairly happy with it have already decided to return to S10 (or whatever model will be latest) when the time comes.
I have the Mate20Pro which, (for a few weeks) was the flagship model. I can't fault it (apart from the face recognition to activate the screen isn't always the best). The cameras are excellent (especially the wide angle one).
Prudie - are you sure you haven't activated the 'vivid' setting in the camera (up at top of screen)?
Same as Prudie, the P20 pro, excellent camera on it, the one lacking which isn't really a big deal is the headphone jack,I didn't miss it till yesterday when I held a large 'get together' and needed a Playlist , but it does come with a small 3.5cm attachment to plug into the largest of speakers

I just don't want the aggro of the possibility of having Play Store removed and not being able to update apps etc. And I think Huawei will introduce their own op. system.
Hmmm, I'll have a look ZM, not noticed. If I take a pic of grass and sky the grass looks like I've splashed vivid green over the top of it. I do find the night photo feature superb.
I got a small adaptor cable (like a charger cable at one end and a 3.5mm jack at the other) with mine, for headphones.
I think you could be right there Tiggs, with the USA banning their 5G and perhaps the UK following
Prudie - it's the one which looks like a small bit of film reel.
*typo 3.5 mm*
tigger - Huawie already have their own Op System called EMUI.

Oh ok. I thought they currently have android on their phones.
The two things are separate. I can't see them swapping from Play Store any time soon.

I heard that Google may pull the plug at some point and with a 24mth contract I didn't want to take that risk.
Mmm. I might wait if were you. Shame tho cos it's a great phone (easily as good as iPhone X)

I was hoping for some responses when I first posted and I would've asked what ABers thoughts were on the current trade issue.

I've gone for the safe option and Vodafone, who I'm with, say they are not offering any deals with Huawei due to high risk. They said that they can't offer support if there isn't a positive result. I've got 14 days to cancel and get my pac code if I want to but still undecided.
Personally with that kind of feedback from a supplier, I'd cancel Tiggs

I'm getting the S10 Bobbi, but if I want the P30 pro I would have to go with another provider as Vodafone aren't offering it.

I'm sure the S10 camera is way more advance than what I've got at the moment (S6) but the P30 camera sounded really good. Oh well!
As I said I've got the P20 pro Tiggs but I don't think I'll be replacing it with another Huawei as the future is uncertain for them
