Only at the start when one had to send something to confirm an account, and then it didn't let me use Paypal. Too long ago to recall the details. Seemed dodgy practice at the time.
Have had this a few times - just delete as I don't keep any money in my PayPal account. Another scam methinks. Had a phone call from BT today saying my broadband would be cut off within 24 hours unless I confirmed my details. Not with BT so I just hung up.
So it could be geniune but, as others have said, it could equally well be a phishing attempt. This is from my second link:
"If you received an email stating that your account is limited, but don't see any steps in the Resolution Centre, you may have received a fake email. Forward it to [email protected] and we’ll investigate it for you. After you send us the email, delete it from your inbox. If you clicked on any links or downloaded any attachments within the suspicious email or website, log in to your account and view your transactions. It’s also a good idea to change your password."
I get this quite often, I log into PayPal via my app, but can't do what they suggest, so presume it's a scam. I have to say it is very convincing, though.
