anyone got any advice?
I’ve had to change browser to Firefox from chrome to stop this Tony

OK thanks Bobbi will give that a try then.
Sorry Tony. I'm no expert but this never happened before the changes to The Data Protection Act in 2018. It seems almost hypocritical to me:

"We value your privacy, so we will allow lots of companies to put cookies on your computer. For your benefit".
I'm on Chrome. I get the privacy pop-up when accessing many sites but not repeatedly & never on AB.
could it be something in your browser settings needs changing?
Question Author
possibly Dave but don't know what?
*possibly* settings / advanced / site settings / pop ups & redirects.

mine says blocked

or maybe another of the items under site settings - who knows!?
Question Author
OK Dave will have a look thanks.
oops - missed a step - insert Privacy & Security after Advanced.
You can't. It seems to be there just to annoy.
Notice also how, when you tell it that you're not interested in being spied upon, there's a good chance it'll retaliate by logging you out ?
If it does it for some users but not for others surely there must be some setting that is different & can be changed?
Or since it seems to be this site related, maybe the site code could be checked to ensure it isn't randomly triggered, in any browser, on any device.
I changed from chrome to Firefox a month ago on the suggestion from Bobbiesox, I think. Did the trick for me.
Still does it on chrome though. :-(
I'm on Chrome, never happened to me.
Not a helpful comment I know but I think it's outrageous that a site expects you to install/switch to a different browser to make it work properly. It's not the first time either by a long chalk. I remember some other issue that was driving everyone mad and the answer was to switch browsers (from IE if I remember correctly).
It's not a specific browser because I had issues on chrome and swapped to Safari where i found no issues.
//It's not a specific browser because I had issues on chrome and swapped to Safari where i found no issues.//

So you're saying it IS a specific browser - i.e. Chrome?

Seems to me some of us have different browser settings in Chrome causing it to behave differently. But I don't know enough to def put a finger on it!
I am saying it is NOT a browser issue but more a browser settings issue as danny has not had issues on chrome and i did.

However, on a different device chrome is fine and safari is not. It is rather odd.
