Why Won't My Phone Charge

All of a sudden my phone won't hold a charge for barely anytime. And then when I plug it in for the most part it will if anything keep the charge at the percent it's at or will increase EXTREMELY slow. But the lightning bolt next to the battery is always on but usually doesn't do anything just is dying. This started outta nowhere and was working just fine right before this. Anybody know what's new going on? And can I do anything?

i had this and ended up buying a new phone.. couldn't find any place that did batteries.

Ebay but make sure its a genuine one usually reasonable prices.

Prob needs a new battery - but not all phones can have the battery changed. I put a new (?) battery from ebay in my Moto G which was quite difficult - 14 tiny screws, and it still didn't work. Ended up getting a new phone.

It may be the connector on either the phone or charfer and not the battery, the little adapter connector often gets damaged - items get thrown on it, sometimes it can get walked on or fall - that little connecting bit into the phone could be the problem, I have had it a few times and either used a new charger or had to get a new phone, tablet because it, definitely sounds like this if it happened all of a sudden, I use to try jiggle it, place it strategically on a surface but in the end, I had to get upgrades
