Hudl 2 Stoppage

My Hudl 2 stopped working this afternoon with an on screen message informing me that the G Board h ad stopped working.. absolutely nothing works all I can get is my screensaver with the word password. Anyone else having this problem -if not- is there a solution, I dont know what - if anything - I can do

Holding the power button down to see if you can get to a (usable) 'Power Off' option. If so, simply use that and then (after waiting for a short while) hold the power key down again to turn the device back on. If that doesn't work, follow the instructions in the first part of my 'hard reset' link but, instead of choosing 'Wipe Data / Factory Reset', choose 'Reboot...

First try a soft reset:

If that doesn't work I can only suggest a hard reset. (NB: You'll lose all your data! However that's probably better than having a device that doesn't work at all):

Thank you Buenchico for your prompt reply. However nothing on my Hudl works, No password,no keyboard just my screensaver plus 8 dashes where the password should go. I hope this reaches you as I cannot find any reference in FAq s on where to respond
Both the reset operations above should work (or, in the case of the soft reset, possibly fail to work) irrespective of what you see (or don't see) on its screen.

BUENCHICO. thank you again for your reply. As I cannot get into the hudl 2 because I am unable to get into the tablet' no keyboard no password. Tablet useless. Perhaps you would be kind enough to tell me how I get the into the soft reset. With thanks

If that doesn't work, prize the back cover off the device, disconnect the battery, wait a few moments and then reconnect it. Buenchico. Many thanks for your latest info which I will be trying tomorrow. For information only If you go into Google and type . Hudl 2 and G Board . you will get some extra information which may be of use to other problem writers.. Cheers
