New laptop is smaller so I often need to manually increase Zoom to 120%. Is there a way of making such change permanent?

I am assuming that you are using W10. Click on the windows icon (bottom left) or press the windows key on your keyboard. From the pop up menu click on the cog icon(if you hover the cursor over it it should say settings) From the next menu click on System. Then click on Display. In there you will see a box that is labelled "change size of text, apps and other items"....

You may lose the edges of some pages when you change up from 100%.
Pleasure Coppit. Look out for the new Edge Beta browser that is due to be released on Jan 16th. I am assuming that if you have a new laptop that it came with W10 and the Edge browser set up as default. Now I used Edge for quite a while and it had it's limitations. For the last few months I have been trialling the new Microsoft Edge Beta browser and can honestly say that it is pretty good. There are features in that new browser that may be a bonus for you if you like clearer text on screen. It will be, I should think, an upgrade that will need your assent.
