iRiver question

<PRE>I have just purchased an iRiver PMP 100 as i was led to believe they are better than a Goodmans media centre. Now i'm not so sure after looking through the instructions. The Goodmans version will allow you to record straight from your tv (Was thinking about music channels etc) anyhow looking through the iRiver instructions it would seem you can record audio only from the tv, maybe i'm reading them wrong as i'm not the most technically minded. However the other instructions seem to make sense, i haven't actually used it yet as if its not going to do as i hoped i'd rather sell it on unused, thanks if anyone can help.</PRE>

Thanks for your help gigadave, i've been on to the site but i'm not sure whereabouts on it i need to be asking my questions. I just need it in plain simple English, i'll try them again.
