Can’T Back Up Photos To Google
5 Answers
Bought a new Samsung A40 android phone today and guy in shop transferred everything from old Samsung including Google Photos. Since then none of my WhatsApp photos are saving to either this new phone or my iPad which has always saved OK. Sync is On on both phone and iPad. No back up is happening. Can someone please tell me what to do to download these photos to Google, I am not technical so easy answers please. My email address and password are correct.

Is the problem just with WhatsApp??
Have you got the following scenario, or am I misunderstanding - someone sends you a WhatsApp message, you can see it in WhatsApp, but you can't see it in your phone's gallery??
If this is the problem, then it's just a setting in your WhatsApp that needs altering. Open WhatsApp then click on the 3 dots in top right hand corner - click on the bottom one, settings. Then click on chats and the second one down on the list is "media visibility". This needs to be enabled, so that your WhatsApp media will show up in your phone gallery.
Hope this is what you're after :)
