Sorting Out Mp3 Files
8 Answers
I have several hundred MP3 files on my lap top, and I add to them from time to time.
For some reason, the last half-dozen have not slotted into their alphabetical place, they are sitting in the A-H section.
Is there any way of making the whole file sort itself alphabetically, so the files will re-locate to their proper place?
Many thanks.

i use tag&rename and mp3tag apps, i made a various folder of over a 100 mp3's all had different numbers name non capital letters on some all out of whack so to speak, for that i used tag&rename, it has a preview button that shows folder i chose, then use a mask to remove all numbers like 01 or 1. etc i used this mask %8. %2 save, or just leave them without numbered etc, then use mp3tag in the field you will see filename path tag title artist main screen, choose your order it can capitalize any and fix file names as well, also remove cover art and replace with whatever you want, all of them at the same time, i had to fix my few thousand mp3's flacs etc, as some players could not recognise certain tags or order.
OK I spoke too soon!
In the 'A' section for example is 'Firework' By Katie Perry.
When I CTRL + R, it moves, but when the green flash moves across the 'This PC > Music >' bar, it pops back in again.
I want to re-align everything alphabetically, without dividing into A-H and so on - and I want to do it without taking the files anywhere else away from the Music File they are in.
Any assistance gratefully received.
