11 Answers
Try as we may we cannot get BBC 1 or 2 to play on our TV that is of course unless we get it via iPlayer. I don't know what we've done but we cannot revert to how it was two days ago!! What's happened? Does anyone know? It's a ***!

Otherwise it's likely that your aerial can no longer provide a strong enough signal on the frequency used by the PSB1 multiplex. (TV transmissions are in 'bundles', called multiplexes, with each multiplex using a different frequency. All of the BBC channels, other than the HD ones, use the PSB1 multiplex. All aerials are better at some 'pulling in' some frequencies than others and signal strengths are affected by all sorts of things, including atmospheric pressure, precipitation, solar flares, etc).
If a fresh scan doesn't fix the problem, buy one of these

and one of these

instal them, rescan again and all should be well.

^^^ That makes sense, of course, TCL but transmitter faults (and engineering work) generally affect all Freeview services and not just those using a particular multiplex. See here:

I had to retune last night - depends where you are.
