Toolbar in Microsoft Word

The tool bar is completely missing on my programme, Microsoft Word. I have used the help menu but it's not coming together. If someone would kindly give me a step by step 'idiots' guide, I'd be very grateful.

Have you tried the obvious?
Go to the View mwnu
choose Toolbars
then tick Standard, Format, Drawing and any others you use.


gen2's right, just follow the guide to getting your toolbars back.


Watch out in future when you're hovering around the "File" pull down menu, it's very easy to accidentally turn off your toolbars by simply right hand clicking near this area.

Hello. Yes I know what you mean - but I don't even have a 'menu' bar. I can't even find the 'view' option. But keep the 'obvious' answers coming in - I'm sure it's fairly straightforward.

You have probably got Word on Full Screen mode. On you keyboard press and hold the <alt> and v keys. You will then access the view dropdown menu. Then click "Full Screen" to put you back into normal mode.


This may cure your problem,
