Microsoft 365 Now Opening Up In A Web Browser?

I've been using Microsoft Office (365 now) for a while, but now it opens up in my web browser (Chrome) and not how it used to, sorry not sure what to put, but it was like a program actually on my laptop and didn't need to open in a browser - I would like it to go back how it was - any ideas? Thank you.

If you have a Microsoft account....log into it. Then check whether google has "become" the default search engine. They do love to dominate.

I've tried but it still opens up in the web browser, when using the go to File > Options > Advanced > Link Handling option and ticking the box it still reverts back to opening up in the web browser.
