I have about 30 old family VHS tapes that I recorded on a camcorder that I wish to convert to DVD.

I am not interested in editing them, just a straight transfer.

What is the easiest way of doing it ?

Will one of those combined VHS and DVD recorder machines do it ?

Is it best to use DVD+ or DVD- or doesn't it matter ?

wemanaged by linking the dvd amd vhs with a scart lead, playing the vhs and recording. have checked and it owrked firne.

..I have a Panasonic VHS recorder and an LG RH7500 dvd recorder which are "on speaking terms" as you might say through a scart connection as Goofy describes........I can dub from the tape to the disc with no problems whatsoever...commoner. ;-)

...Minus or plus depends where you want to play the discs when you have done the deed.....your eventual player will have to be compatible with the disc you want to play back ,but any half decent modern dvd player will be compatible with all or most formats..............
