Apps Not Downloading/Updating On New Phone

My new phone is constantly trying to update or install apps can anyone help with this please? This is from the initial setup 3 days ago.

Are you signed in to your Google account?
Is your phone connected to your wifi?
Have some apps installed?

Yes signed into google, yes on wifi and it has apps that were installed when I got it, it is new, Motorola

So you have not been able to install any apps yourself?

I went out yesterday and when I used my phone in the evening the problem had sorted itself out. I think disconnecting and reconnecting to home wifi pushed it into downloading(?) Thanks everyone.

All phones have a mass of apps installed, the updating is quite a roccurrence and is usually for security or performance improvement or data update. If you know the basics there are some apps you can do without although some wont uninstall.
