Keyboard ??

Earlier 8 8my 8grandson 8was 8on 8my 8computer 8and 8now 8when 8 i 8use 8the 8spacebar 8 8Iget 8an 8! 8or 8fullstop 6. 8 8Help!

Start with the last word and read forward I am able to do this by bringing the cursor forward each word

Thanks everyone who tried to help me sort out the peculiar problems I was having last night. I don't know if my young grandson did something or it was just one of those things but I am now on a different keyboard and everything is working as it should.

G'morning FoxLee2...........I hope the postings are yours and Not your grandson who, perhaps, is very knowledgeable about computers and is having a bit of fun with us.

I am able to appreciate that strange things happen with keyboards but, (without a little trickery) the automatic reversing of complete sentences is beyond my comprehension.

A little bit more information would be useful in the hope that it will assist an ABer to find a solution.

Is your computer a Desktop model. If so,are all bits and pieces (including keyboard) cable connected to the tower,or is wi-fi being used. ?

My grandson is only nine so he wouldn't do something deliberately to mess things up. He's okay with the computer but not a whizz kid. Not sure what you exactly want to know - the tower is on the floor and the keyboard/mouse operates by wifi. Lots of advice and suggestions were made last night which my husband followed but the problems weren't resolved.

I was wishing to know if you were using wifi connections because bits and pieces connected that way can often develop problems. Much better to have everything, if possible, connected by cables for faster and smother operations.

Anyway, I am pleased that all is now back as it was. originally.

Hans - it's only back to normal as I'm using a different keyboard.
Woofgang - you are a cynical person! Daniel is a delightful boy and I can guarantee it's not in his nature to do anything deliberately to mess up my computer. He wouldn't know how to make the spacebar produce 8s or the full stop 6s but, just in case, I shall be asking him if he did anything 'special' on the computer yesterday.
