Flash Player Not Working
6 Answers
There has been a great deal of hand-wringing in our household for the last couple of days. On Mr. Chox's laptop, the flash player isn't working, so whenever he tries to view a video on, say, You tube, Netflix, have a zoom call, etc - and other BBC videos, we get the audio, but no visuals. We have googled it, but the answers given are a bit complicated for us technophobes. Can anyone help please? Would be grateful for some help, cheers, TIA, Chox.

All major streaming websites (including Youtube and the BBC) abandoned Flash, and switched to using HTML5, several years ago.
Start by trying a different web browser. If that fixes the problem, return to your default browser and use its 'reset' procedure to return it to it's 'fresh out of the box' state. (If you need instructions, please tell us which browser you use).
If the problem doesn't disappear when you use a different browser, you might need to reinstall the video drivers. (Again, instructions upon request).
