Had a message on my phone stating that the current version I have is out of date and to click to download new version
I duly did but it would not download / update to new version despite numerous attempts
I deleted the app and have been trying to download it again directly from the Whatsapp site .
However I can't get it to download
Any ideas for a solution would be much appreciated
I don't know if the following is connected to the above
problem ?
A few months ago I had a message telling me that 'Google play services' is not supported by my device - despite me having no issues since I bought the phone , up untill then
So now ,things like ' you tube' don't work . I get a message saying 'You tube won't run without Google play services '
I also can't download the play store app either

It could be that you've simply run out of free space on your phone's internal storage.
You've also omitted to mention what make and model of phone it is but, since you mention Google Play Services, I'm assuming it's running Android. Therefore: https:/

Done it for WhatsApp .
I needed to hold the download button down and open in a new link
Now , if only I could get this 'Google play services ' working ,in order for gmail/YouTube/
calendar/play movies , to work - and to download the play store

So vintage July 2015, which is an age for this type of technology. You must surely qualify for some sort of upgrade. Also it has only 0.5GB internal storage, which really isn't very much these.
