How are you accessing your emails? i.e. what type of device are you using (Android phone, iPhone, iPad, PC, laptop or whatever) and are you using webmail (accessing your emails via a web browser) or a dedicated email app and, if so, which one?

OK, we know that you're using a desktop computer but how do you access your emails?
Do you open a web browser (such as Edge, Internet Explorer, Chrome or Firefox) and go to a website OR are you using a program, totally separate to your web browser, which is just for sending and receiving emails (such as the Windows 10 Mail app, Outlook, Outlook Express or Thunderbird)?

Thank you for responding.
Open the app that you're using (from its desktop icon). In the absence of any other information, I'll assume that it's the Windows 10 Mail app but the instructions below will be roughly the same with other apps too:
Look down the left hand side of the window for the name of your account. Right-click on it and select 'Account settings'. Then select 'Delete account'. (Don't worry! You're only deleting the settings for the account. You WON'T lose any existing mail!)
When you've deleted your account, go to 'Add account' and re-create your original account. That should repair the corrupt server setting.

You may have exceeded your email account quota. Whoever supplies your email facility will have set a set amount of disc space for saved mail. You will either have to increase the disc space allocated or delete all those hundreds of emails that are currently locking you out. The first step, I should think, is to send an email to the account that is giving you issues. If the mailbox is full, the sender should receive a bounceback message stating that the disk space has been exceeded. Get someone you know or do it yourself if you have a back up email account to message the account. Let us know what, if any, the message is that the sender gets.
