I have a very useful wifi extender if it helps. My wifi is OK in the room with the rooter, but an extender was needed to boost it around the house.

I bought this recently. It was an easy install and works a treat. You just have to connect to the extension wifi when youre in the other part of the house.

I also have that TP link extender and it works very well. However, if my house were wired differently I would opt for powerline like these as I believe they are more stable and faster and great distance from router is not a problem

You plug your router in to one and the other in a socket where you are having problems with wifi. You can connect either by wifi or ethernet and should get the same speed as if you were next to the router. Very easy to set up, I have installed them in relatives houses

Ha, I have one of those too barry. I did have the TV and digi box plugged into it, but the new TV didnt want to connect to anything but wifi, so its redundant at the moment. But again it worked really well and was an easy install.

Sorry, mine is older and is hard wire only so no wifi option on it but the one you suggest is ideal.
