I'm typing a word document that includes a list of numbers. All of a sudden, when I press the tab (to get the list of numbers in a straight column), I end up with several dashes in front of the number. Does anyone know how I can stop this happening please?

Set the tab leader to 0: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/show-dots-or-leaders-between-tabs-c80b62d0-2244-4078-95bd-8c82f91440ba

^^^ or, more accurately, to 'None'

Problem solved. Thank you so much. I actually have 5 columns of numbers, which I didn't bother explaining in my question. Strangely enough, 4 columns were okay but it was the fifth on the right that I was having the problem with. Goodness knows what had set it off in the first place.
