Bt Changing Password

Just changed my BT password, all seemed OK, tried to open my emails on my phone, it asked me to put in my new password and then my new emails came up. I am trying to get my new emails on my iPad mini, but I can’t find how to put in this new password, and my new emails are not appearing. I have gone into Settings and Email but can’t see anything about passwords in there. Sorry I am not technical! Thanks all.
