I use "Type Here To Search" the web, at the bottom left hand corner of the screen, which I find very convenient.
Recently after my computer was Updated by Microsoft I can no longer use this search and get a message simply "No Results found For XYZ".
If I Uninstall the update I can again use this search box..... until the next Update comes along.
The last Update was KB4601319.
My computer guru has worked with me to no avail and tells me he has not encountered this problem with an other clients.
I considered taking the computer for a diagnostic check up, is that likely to help?
Can anyone offer a simple fix ?
Many Thanks

I can't think why anyone would ever want to search the web from that box. All modern browsers allow you to search directly from within the address bar and most also provide the option of adding a dedicated search box adjacent to the address bar. (That's what I use in both Slimjet and Firefox). It might be simplest just to switch to using such a technique.

However, if you're determined to fix the problem, try working your way through this lot:

The only time I use "Type Here To Search" is if I am having problems with the computer, and, quite often that helps; however, I would never even consider using it to search the web...I just use Google.
