i am having trouble with adding single contacts to my new mobile phone an Samsung Galaxy A12. I took it into EE shop yesterday, where he did a data transfer, but its missed off some
of my whatsapp family, friends contact. is there a simple way to add them back in, as its been a long time since i did.

When adding my contacts, I have to add them to contacts first then go to whatsapp and click the 'write message' icon and type the name i'm looking for.
But remember to put +44 and leave off the first zero of the phone number.

If you put them in contacts they will then be available in WhatsApp.
When you call or message in WhatsApp the name/number will be available in "chat" or "recent" for phone.

Oh, emmie - did you even try to set your phone up yourself?

no Barry, it was too complicated, even the guy in the EE shop had trouble transferring the data. i haven't had a new phone for 5 years or more and this new one is quite different.

also i couldn't find all the settings etc, not knowing that you swipe up the screen and there they were, so many new things to know.

The big problem is that phones don't come with an instruction book. You have to play around with them and see what they do.

sorry Barry - don't know why you are sighing, you know about these things than i ever will. No good playing around with it, i couldn't find the settings etc, till the EE shop assistant showed me, you can't just guess these things/

if i ask for help and then don't do it, its because i am scared of breaking things. The mobile phone data transfer wasn't easy, the guy in the shop was ages doing it, i wouldn't have had a scooby do.
