Not Receiving Texts

I have a Motorola. I'm having problems receiving texts from bank/paypal which makes it tricky when they sent me a OTP and I don't receive it. Seem to be able to get messages from humans - although not sure I'd know if I'd missed some.

Yes, I have had them, and yes it's the right number.

Take the SIM card out and give the contacts a clean.

Restart your phone as well.

Couldn't get the back off, but restarting seems to ahve done the trick. Thanks

It works on most things, including Airbus aircraft.

Check that Premium SMS Permissions is turned on. (If it isn't, texts coming from 'shortcode' numbers won't be accepted).

You've not told us the exact model of your phone but these instructions, for the Moto G7 Power, might work:
Go to Settings > Apps & Notifications.
Select Advanced and then Special App Access.
Tap Premium SMS Access.
Select your messaging app.
Check that 'Always Allow' is set.
