Txt Authenticate

I was speaking to Barry1010 and Fender62 yesterday and ended up being advised to ask for txt authenticate for my tablet.
Well I think they got fed up with my so I started looking around. I read in one article that trying to txt authenticatre alone was not good but to get an app called restoro. I installed it but then was told that none of my apps would work along with restoro and said that Play Store would suggest an apprpropriate one. I was shown exe so I installed that. All was going well until thry said I needed to create a password and to insert my email address and press "send my password" button. This I did but have got no response.Have tried four or five times but the button does not send a message.
I am now feeling very fed up and would be grateful for any help. As you can tell I am not all that good with technology and as I am in my seventies it can be so frustrating !

Oh sorry - if you are stumped what chance have I got ?!!?

Would you consider resetting your tablet back to factory default? All your personal files including photos would be lost so you would have to back them up first.
Your tablet would be exactly as it was when you very first turned it on

That probably would be the best option. Now how would I go about it ?

I regularly reset all my devices to factory default, it helps keep them running well in my opinion. Let us know how you get on
