What is the quickest way to check a car battery system i.e alternator and other things, i tried many ways https://www.meterreviews.com/how-to-test-an-alternator-with-multimeter/ some worked some not but did'nt the most authentical way.

as said in the link ..mulitmeter to battery terminal set meter to 20v should read 12.5 to 13.00 start engine read again should be 14.0 to 14.08 ..thats all you need unless your have real battery problems if so bite the bullet get a new battery
