I have an Apple MacBookAir reconditioned and would like to know if it wears out the battery charge faster if I put it on to charge before it runs out if there is some charge still on the display? I sometimes put it on charge and find it has become accidentally
detached so reconnect it . It is therefore beginning again to charge having not run out.

Buy a replacement battery and then forget about it.
You shouldn't let a laptop battery get down to anywhere near zero (unless, of course, it's unavoidable when you're nowhere near a socket to charge it). Ideally you should put it on charge when it drops to 40% full and then only charge it up to around 80% full. In practice, most people will charge a battery to its maximum capacity but it's certainly not a good idea to let it get anywhere near to zero capacity unless it's completely unavoidable.

The Mac won't let you run the battery out - it will tell you and sleep the computer.

Battery monitoring is built in to the OS.
I have a MacBookAir Laptop Stargazer and I suggest you follow Buenchico's advice. That is what I was told to do when I bought mine.
Sorry I should have said that was what I was told by the salesman in the Apple store when I bought it.
