What Does “Critical Error On This Website”Warning Mean?

I have ordered an item on line and it appeared to go through as I got a message with order number although no e mail confirmation.The payment is pending in my bank account.My concern is why this message “critical error on this website “ popped up. Can anyone help? Thankyou.
