Hi. A little note keeps popping up on my tv. Watch in HD. What does this mean? Does it make any difference? Does it cost anything? Many thanks for information

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.It seems that your TV has an HD tuner as well as the normal tuner and when you tune to a normal station your set is reminding you that you could also watch it in HD. As a first approximation the channel numbers for HD stations are 100+usual number eg, BBC1 is Channel 1 in SD and 101 in HD and ITV is 3 or 103.
Whether HD is worth the bother depends on the size of your screen and how far away you sit. For most programmes the difference might not be obvious but when watching eg, tennis the lines might be clearer in HD.
